  • Moorlands Allotments Association

In the 17th century, Moorlands was the kitchen garden of the manor house, becoming allotments during "Dig for Victory". Over the last few years a great deal has been achieved, with the help of grants, donated materials, support from local businesses, the community, Sandwell's Allotment Officer and of course the dedication and hard work of the plotholders, resulting in a fully let site with a waiting list. Moorlands have a tarmac road, secure fencing, and disability access plots. There are also 12 "mini gardens" which are tended with great pride. Moorlands plot holders donate their prize-winning vegetables and plants to help with fundraising. The site's annual open day also raises money for charity.
