    We are a group of ex-service men and women who meet on a regular basis for companionship and company. We visit schools and lecture on times past, regarding historically about being in the armed forces 1948 to date. We attend funerals on request providing our branch standard for those ex-service people who pass away usually requested by the person who has passed on. We visit older ex service people o provide company who are housebound and try to provide comfort where possible. We try to encourage younger people to look after the elderly of todays society especially those living alone.

    Ne Kongo West Midlands is a community association which aim to contribute to the integral welfare of Ne Kongo people who have chosen to settle in West Midlands, throughout the following objects: 1. To help one another in conformity with the pattern of Congolese values. 2. To promote the Ne Kongo culture pride, in encouraging members to get to refer to positives values inherited from their ancestors. 3. To broaden members’ knowledge in connection with the Kongo Kingdom History, and also to update the Ne Kongo community’s mind about the currents events occurring among the Ne Kongo people in Africa and around the world. 4. To set up some reception facility so as to help any Ne Kongo new comer in the West Midlands to face smoothly his integration. 5. To carry out concrete actions that work towards the integral development of the inhabitants of the district area of Bas-Congo in particular and of the Democratic Republic of Congo in general.

  • New Life Worldwide Apostolic Church

    New Life Worldwide Apostolic Church provide a safe and friendly environment for people of all age who wish to worship with us and develop themselves spiritually. We worship every Sunday 11 am – 1 pm and 1 pm – 4pm on the last Sunday of the We a have Sunday school with activities for children of all ages, which includes live productions. There is Bible Study on Tuesdays. The Youth Team is currently reading the New Testament. After Church on Sundays there are music lessons for young people, where they learn to play instruments, have singing sessions and supervised social activities. The Church runs a Food Bank every Sunday, open 10.30 am – 11.30 am. Evidence of benefits is required. We work with other organisations in the community that provide food parcels to those who are ill or unable to leave home. There is a monthly car boot the second Saturday of the month which runs from April to November. We provide pastoral well-being checks and visits with one-to-one counselling, support to individuals and families in need, irrespective of their religion.

    NICE – Centre for Movement Disorders is a leading UK charity that works to transform the lives of children and adults with incurable neurological movement disorders, such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis, as well as people who have suffered a stroke. Through an innovative educational system known as Conductive Education (CE), we provide direct services through our Pre-School (ages 0 to 5), Red Boots Primary school, Intensive Movement Training Placements and Adult-based rehabilitation service. CE originates from Hungary, and involves movement based programmes that enable people to develop their everyday life skills, leading to increased levels of personal independence, heightened confidence and highlighting that having a disability is no barrier to attaining achievement and success. CE helps people develop ways of overcoming any physical impairments they may have. CE gives children and young people the best start in life, helping to prepare them for life’s challenges. For adults, it helps them to regain skills they may have lost after being diagnosed with a disability. NICE supports over 600 people across the West Midlands and the wider UK.
