  • Yew Tree and Tame Bridge (Neighbourhood Forum)

    The aims of the Community shall be : To seek funding for the regeneration of both Yew Tree and Tame Bridge Estate. To empower members of the local community to work collectively to improve the quality of Yew Tree and Tame Bridge Estate. To provide all residents with the opportunity to access particularly developed services and/or activity programs that will improve their Health and Well-being. To develop projects/services that will in partnership with the Statutory/Voluntary organisations address the identified social issues and community needs. To help create a safe and clean place to live, work and play for all. To further the social, economic and environmental well-being of individuals living or wanting to live in the area.

  • Afghan Society in the West Midlands

    We aim to serve Afghan population in West Midlands and its surrounding areas. In future we aim to extend our support to all Afghans in the UK. The Charity’s objectives are; a) To advance education amongst the Afghan community in the West Midlands and the surrounding area, particularly but not exclusively of Afghani languages, the provision of English Classes and supporting school children with their education. b) To relieve poverty amongst the Afghan community in the same area and throughout the UK, in particular by the provision of advise and information on issues such as accommodation and employment and by providing such persons with goods and services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means. c) To provide facilities for the recreation and other leisure-time occupation of persons who have need of such facilities by reason their poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view of improving their conditions of life.   • Accessible Transport Group

    Ring and Ride covers a wide area which consists of eight districts that include; East, North and South Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and Wolverhampton. Each customer has to be registered to use the service; it is free to register which can be done over the phone, by post or online. The service operates Monday – Saturday between 8:30am and 10:30pm and on a Sunday between 8:30am and 3:30pm, fares are £1 each way before 7pm and £2 after 7pm and on a Sunday. We have two dedicated Customer Service Centres that handle all of the day to day bookings. Lines are open Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 2:30pm and during this time our dedicated teams take up to 8,000 calls a week. Customers that have access to the internet can also book via our website or by email. We also offer a pre-scheduled booking service which provides our customers that travel to a certain place every week a guaranteed seat on that specific trip, which means they do not need to call in to book for the trip they only need to let us know if they are not travelling. Ring and Ride has been operating for 33 years and is recognised as a successful and reliable service providing vulnerable customers the means of keeping their independence and reducing isolation within the community. It has also allowed many of our customers to gain new friendships through the service.

  • Reaching Out (Sandwell) CIO

    The relief of poverty of homeless persons in Sandwell, principally in the area of Wednesbury, who are in conditions of need, hardship and distress, in particular but not exclusively by: a) the provision of food, other nourishment, clothing and other items; b) the provision of administration services where required; c) the provision of advice regarding accessing accommodation; d) the provision of financial assistance; e) providing funds raised from a charity shop, which sells wholly donated goods, for the purposes of the charity

  • Ne Kongo West Midlands

    Ne Kongo West Midlands is a community association which aim to contribute to the integral welfare of Ne Kongo people who have chosen to settle in West Midlands, throughout the following objects: 1. To help one another in conformity with the pattern of Congolese values. 2. To promote the Ne Kongo culture pride, in encouraging members to get to refer to positives values inherited from their ancestors. 3. To broaden members’ knowledge in connection with the Kongo Kingdom History, and also to update the Ne Kongo community’s mind about the currents events occurring among the Ne Kongo people in Africa and around the world. 4. To set up some reception facility so as to help any Ne Kongo new comer in the West Midlands to face smoothly his integration. 5. To carry out concrete actions that work towards the integral development of the inhabitants of the district area of Bas-Congo in particular and of the Democratic Republic of Congo in general.

  • 4 Community Trust

    4 Community Trust will further or benefit the residents of Sandwell and the their neighbourhoods, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, politics or other opinion. By associating together, residents, the local authority, voluntary and other organisations work to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and leisure time. The object is: 1. The advancement of education, training and employment of children and young people, resident in the relevant area. 2. The preservation and protection of health among children, young people and their families, resident in the relevant area. 3. The provision of childcare and youth activities for children, in the relevant area. 4. The provision of inclusive activities for children and adults with special educational needs and their families, in the relevant area. The relevant area is defined as those parts of Birmingham and the Black Country area which are designated as being deprived under the lower super output area.

  • Heart of Oldbury Community Hub

    The Heart of Oldbury Community Hub is in the centre of Oldbury Town and shopping area. It is within easy access of the motorway network and within a five minute walk of the bus and railway stations. There is onsite parking at the area of the Hub. Set over two floors, facilities include secure interim access, wheelchair access, offices with IT equipment for hire, kitchen and toilets.Refreshments/catering can be arranged. Long term rental can be negotiated. Heart of Oldbury is used to provide social and community activities that are to benefit to the community for example, food bank, children’s and senior clubs, exercise sessions etc., with the aim of increasing community provision, reducing isolation and exclusion, improving the conditions of resident’s lives.
