  • Dragonfly Aikikai Aikido Club

    Dragonfly Aikikai is part of Seijitsu Aikido Ryju. The club began life in 1973 and relocated to our current venue in 2003. We teach the traditional Aikido in the style of the founder Morihei Ueshib. We place great emphasis on weapons work as an aid to developing Tai Jitsu, our weapons syllabub being based upon the teachings of Morihiro Saito Shihan. We are a friendly club with a loyal following and we always extend a warm welcome to visitors from other clubs, new members and people who are simply curious about Aikido. We are Clubmark accredited

  • Friar Park Millennium Centre

    Friar Park Community Centre provides activities for young people such as youth club,sports activities and dance. There are leisure facilities for retired/vulnerable people, along with dancing, bingo clubs, etc. There is venue hire (function hall, meeting rooms, soft play room etc.) and catering is available as part of room hire, if required. The community centre is generally open from 9 am to 8.30 pm.

  • Friends of Black Patch Park

    We are committed to the retention in perpetuity of the whole of Black Patch Park and to the improvement of the park for the benefit of all local people. To this end we have been working with Sandwell MBC and other parties to ensure that the park meets the needs of the local and wider community. The Friends meet about once every 6 weeks and all who are interested are welcome to attend. Our Patron is Darren Moore, former West Bromwich Albion football player. Since the formation of the Friends we have successfully campaigned to retain the entire area of the park as open space in Sandwell's Unitary Development Plan and the Smethwick Area Action Plan; held community events in the park including annual Spring Clean events; created an exhibition about the park (currently at Soho House Museum); and worked with local historian and author Ted Rudge to celebrate the Romany heritage of the park at regular annual events.   • Friends of Dartmouth Park

    The friends of Dartmouth Park has been formed to closely liaise with SMBC to manage the regeneration and future maintenance of the Park so that it meets the needs of all sectors of the community in terms of providing a healthy, safe environment for promoting leisure, recreational and environmental activities that will enrich the lives of the community in this deprived area.

    The group has been set up to manage, maintain and develop Sot's Hole local nature reserve for the benefit of wildlife and local people. Sot's Hole is off Dagger Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands.

  • From People to People

    From People to People we will help to raise funds; by holding seminars, training, acting, dance classes, shows and quiz nights etc. within the year. By raising some funds we will help those groups who are vulnerable. The project will provide education and training to support those who have been affected in the disaster area of the world. We will provide training for our members who need training to help with this project. We will work along with other voluntary organisations. We will be planning to do these training.
