This is provided at out-reach sites throughout the borough, at Libraries and Community Centres. A Handyperson Scheme: provided through our partner organisation Birmingham Age UK. This offers small practical help with the home. Financial and insurance services and an Advocacy Service, targeted at people in residential accommodation. Age UK Sandwell is actively involved as a pressure group to aid the well-being and active involvement of all older people. Age UK Sandwell also • provide a range of activities aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of older people in Sandwell • deliver talks in the community to target key health issues • hold events and activities to raise awareness of health campaigns and local health initiatives • develop and maintain partnerships with other voluntary and statutory organisations to ensure services are developed and promoted in co-ordination.
