Somali Disability & Elderly Support Group

The Somali Disability & Elderly Support Group (SODES) is a registered charity based in Small Heath, Birmingham and provides advice, information and practical support and campaign for improved service to the Somali community in the West Midlands.
Advice and information service on wide range of issues including employment opportunities, social care and health, welfare benefit, mental health and pension rights. We aim to support refugees, disabled children and elderly people and their families who are in need of assistance in order to take control of their daily living conditions. Interpreting/translation, an informal mentoring, advocacy, support service and information relating to disability issues. Children educational activities such as homework clubs, adult education (ESOL) and youth leisure activities. Monthly health awareness and workshops for Carers.
